  • One rape or sexual assault occurs every two minutes.
  • One violent crime occurs every five seconds in the U.S.
  • 172 Women are physically and/or sexually assaulted every hour!
  • 261,000 rapes and sexual assaults occurred in the U.S. in 2000.
  • 90,186 forcible rapes in 2000 as reported to police. .
  • One out of every 3 females will be sexually assaulted or raped during her lifetime.
    One forcible rape occurs every 5 minutes.
    One out of every 4 college women is raped.
    35% of rapes will be committed by dates, boyfriends or fiancées.
    78% of women sexually assaulted or raped know their assailant personally.
    85% of women who immediately resist their attacker are able to ESCAPE!
    99% of rapes will happen on the GROUND!
  • One murder occurs every 34 minutes.

We live in a different society today! I do not have to go into detail how the world has changed, that is evident. Violence is as broad as, the terrorist plotting against our country - to the rapist – mugger – to even the guy driving and going into road rage down the street!

The sad thing is, by FBI studies, that most violent altercations could have been avoided by the right verbal skills! It is my belief that if families just dedicated just 7-14 hrs per year that not only could most violent encounters be avoided but school and work mental bullying could be greatly reduced. But more importantly that you can just enjoy life more knowing you have taken the necessary action in empowering you and yours.
